Shahara Wright - Business Lawyer

When I graduated from law school in 1998, my dream was to work as in-house counsel for a major corporation, earning a substantial income and climbing the corporate ladder. However, reality was harsh, as I faced rejection after rejection in my job search. Despite the setbacks, I refused to let others define my capabilities as a business lawyer.

I realized that I needed to forge my own path. I founded The Wright Firm, PLLC to provide for my family and pursue corporate work, which had been elusive to me elsewhere. This decision to create my own space became a defining characteristic of my journey.

Over the past 23 years, I have come to understand the underlying reason for my unwavering determination. I have always resisted letting others dictate my potential and strived to chart my own course. This self-reliant mindset has guided me throughout my life, starting from a young age. It has allowed me to progress by saying, “If you don’t want me, fine! I’ll succeed on my own terms.”

During these 23 years, I have recognized that the business owners and nonprofit founders I serve have followed a similar path. They, too, have created their own space, setting their own table and inviting others to join them. This sense of responsibility can be overwhelming and lonely, especially when few understand the weight of building one’s own table.

Having experienced this feeling firsthand, I am driven to do what I do and serve those who share this journey. It goes beyond merely drafting contracts, forming business entities, or filing trademarks. My purpose is to establish a support system that alleviates the burden of building, sitting, and serving at the table alone.

That is why I call myself The Wright Lawyer. It’s not just a clever play on words; it represents my belief in providing the right support to the right leaders at the right time. I am here to be your strategic partner, leveraging my expertise to eliminate chaos through an organized process-driven approach.

You can count on me to provide the support, care, and understanding you need as you navigate the challenges you face each day. Together, we can ensure that the table you’ve created, both for yourself and those who seek a place to sit, remains steadfast for as long as you desire.

I thrive on working with clients who are proactive and driven by growth, not just motivated by fear of legal pitfalls or mistakes. If you are ready to take your ambitions to new heights, I am here to guide you every step of the way.
